The Situation


  • Our customer had a state-of-the-art production facility, a multi-million-pound turnover, and an internationally recognised brand. However, the lack of focus on Health and Safety threatened everything they had worked for.

  • At the time of engagement, our client was dealing with 260 accidents per year, of which 45 of those were going to claims. Their insurance bill had grown to over €600K per annum in addition to their growing spend in claims (€1.2 million).

The Objectives & Challenges


The main objectives of the programme were to:-

  • Find the root cause / investigate thoroughly

  • Develop a system

  • Raise the H&S culture

In order to achieve these objectives a number of activities had to be performed:-
